I am a Ph.D. candidate in political science at the University of Michigan, where my research focuses on American politics, particularly the intersections of religion and nonreligious identity, political psychology, and political behavior. I also have research interests in research methods, particularly survey methodology. At Michigan, I have served as a Graduate Student Instructor, Instructor of Record, Graduate Student Research Assistant, and Graduate Advising Intern in the Office of National Scholarship and Fellowships. I also have five years of experience as a Graduate Student Instructional Consultant at UM's Center for Research on Learning and Teaching.
Before pursuing my Ph.D., I was an assistant academic advisor for honors students at the University of Arkansas and served as an Assistant Port Chaplain in Seattle, WA. I earned my B.A. from the University of Arkansas in 2016, majoring in honors political science and Middle East studies, with minors in Arabic and economics.
